2. Setting your Inbound Placement Options

Amazon recently announced a new FBA Inbound Placement service which provides different shipping options to split or consolidate your shipments.

 

Starting March 1st, 2024, any sellers who use a software like 2D Workflow to create shipments will need to select their preferred inbound option through a setting in Seller Central.

 

This means that what you choose here will reflect in how the software splits your shipments and how much you pay in Inbound Placement fees.

 

To select your Inbound Placement preferences in Seller Center, click here or follow the steps below.

 

 

1. In Seller Central, click the Settings menu (gear wheel) and select Fulfillment by Amazon.

2. In the Inbound Settings section, click Edit.

3. In the section called 'Inbound Placement service fee option for Amazon APIs,' choose your preferred option.

Tip!: If you are looking for the cheapest Placement option, select ‘Amazon-Optimized Shipment Splits.’

 

4. Click Update to save your preferences.
